I just want to say thanks to everyone who has sent me good wishes through all this. I am still hospitalized, being pumped up with lots of different antibiotics, and feeling generally crummy, but not in imminent danger. I'm in Stanford Hospital, room F343, phone (650)498-3853. : >

Thanks, you are in my thoughts too -- although some of those thoughts are envious :> I know it must be no fun being sick abroad; it's hard enough sometimes to figure out doctors even when you speak the same language, and as you mentioned elsewhere, getting OTC drugs after hours can be a big hurdle. I hope your throat opens up some so you can really enjoy your time with mikz. Have fun on the "Romantic Road"! Sometime after you get back, ask brian1789 to tell you about our whirlwind trip through Bavaria. Its a funny story.

As far as how long I'll be in, I have no idea other than they said Thursday night that it would be at least 48 hours.
