Ever since its inception, the Episcopal Church of the United States has had a tense and difficult relationship with Canterbury. The road to this division began not with the consecration of Bishop Robinson, but rather with the shot fired at Concord bridge in April of 1776.
After some thought, I agree. But what disturbs me most is not the splintering with the larger church, but the splintering within the ECUSA that's going to happen.
Christ said he came not to bring peace, but to set brother against brother. I think if we are to follow where God would lead us, this is the result.
