The female PB got all the news, but the other big issue at the General Convention was that the Conference of Bishops from the Anglican Communion had requested the ECUSA to pass a resolution stating that they would not ordain any more gay bishops, and the General Convention refused to do so. They merely passed a resolution saying they would exercise "restraint," which was not good enough for the Archbisop of Canterbury.
The dioceses/churches in the ECUSA that are asking to be removed from the ECUSA and placed directly under the wing of the larger Anglican Church, however, are probably reacting to the female PB: there are some dioceses that still refuse to ordain women priests.
