The top left earrings are red and iridescent glass beads, the top right are red quartz oblong beads, amethyst chips and silver-colored seed beads. The bottom right pair are blue glass round beads, hematite ovals, and wire spirals; the bottom right are onyx, mother of pearl, and red jasper beads. All the hooks are sterling silver, even though the wire in the body is not.
It is going to be very hard to keep from buying a lot of beads. I keep wanting to go out and buy lapis 6mm and 8mm beads, and jade beads, even though I know I would not use all of them. I have been buying my beads by the bead, whic is more expensive, but which keeps me from going off the deep end. (I did, however, buy a string of hematite 8mm, and several dyed red coral beads, which are going to be some drop earrings.)
I need to start beading necklaces. The jasper/MOP/onyx earrings, while nice and understated (and businesslike) really need a necklace to go with them.
See what I mean about addictive?
